Where can I find where the pin-striping stops at the rear of the car? If I follow the top "body-line" it appears to flare upwards behind the rear doors. This would look sort of funky. Does anyone know where I can see the original scheme on-line,...or has anyone replaced the pin-striping for this vintage? TIA.
The car came from the factory with no pinstripes. If your car had it
then it was added by the dealer. It was "fashionable" for some dealers
to do that in those days, and then charge the buyer an extra expense
for this "feature". I hated dealers that do that.
The car needs no such embellishment. It looks better without it.
P.S. The only model of Audi since the 80s that came with any pinstriping
from the factory was the urQ. Along the upper edge of the bumper line,
and down the lower third crease of the sides, and also along then lower
edge of the spoiler all the way around the car.
