Brett et al:
The lure of the 3B into the smaller chasis is the quest for a more nimble /
lighter car - (like the 4000Q) with much more power. Kent Anderson (KAR of
Minn.,) had a stripped 5000Tq "track car for sale at a reported ~2700 lbs" a few
years ago, which is the near stock weight of the 4000Q. Both the 90 Coupes
and the 200's are porkers in terms of weight, which lead us to seek those older
"nimble" & lighter chasis in the ever consuming quest for going faster using
the 2.2L Audi I-5.

My question is why doesn''t someone put the 1.8T at ~225 HP into a 4000Q?
or tweek it to about 280 which is chipped 3B land?

Either Car and Driver or Motor Trend (years ago) chopped metal off an old
Cadillac Eldorado to see what the weight loss would translate into at the
dragway. The results were incouraging.
