Joe, check the wiring that goes from the trunk to
trunk lid on the drivers side hinge.  I bet it's
broken.  I bet your backup lights, and probably
license plate lights don't work also?  It's all
related, I just fixed the wiring with a piece of 6
conductor stranded communications wire.  

BTW, all my fuses were fine.
