I'm merely going from what I've SEEN. I almost bought an 84'
4kq from a friend that had Intrax springs. Maybe they have
changed them since them but those springs were LOW. Much lower
than the H&R's I've seen. So either they started lower or they
Sagged. I also have a friend that had Intrax on his A4. They
started Sagging after a year. I was not impressed. as for the
A4 Race Car, well, as we all know, racing is racing. Who knows,
that car could have had Coil Overs, or very not factory spec
springs. And who cares if they sag on a race car. They
probably get new springs for every track. I'm not dissin
Intrax, I've heard good things about them to but my personal
experience differes from what I've heard.
As for the Boges, if the Intrax springs are the same rate as
the factory springs then they are way TO SOFT to have the car
lowered that much. You'll bottom very easily. H&R's are stiffer
for a reason. And if the spring is stiffer you need better
valved shocks to match. I've driven H&R sprungh 4kq's with Boge
TG. They drive fine. But when pushed hard the shocks dont do
their job. THe Bilstiens do better.

Very true. If your running a decently light wheel then that
offsets the fact that you have 15's. I agree here.

Very true. The UR-q might get jealous. But for what you want
to do the Coil-Over route really is better. Talk to Ron Wood in
San Diego CA. and have him send you his Steel Collars. You can
weld them directly to the strut like I did, then have the strut
powder coated and have the shop only do one coat on the threads.
Just a light powder coat really helps keep down on corrosion.
Works great. As for the strut bearings, it all stays stock.
Its the 5ktq/200/S4 cars that have bearing issues for
Coil-Overs. On the 4kq you simply have to specify what shocks
you'll be using. The Bilstien and Boge TG shocks require a
different top hat.
