Cannot remove O2 sensor *

Hi Cat;
In addition to the other advice you have received, this is how I remove
stubborn O2 sensors:
I made an O2 sensor socket by cutting a window in a deep socket with a
Dremel. The "standard" O2 sensor split socket you buy at tool stores just
opens up and slips on seized sensors.
Run the car until the exhaust is good and hot. Try to remove the sensor. If
it won't budge, spray the sensor body with freeze spray to shrink it. Now it
should come off. Don't spray it with anything flammable!
Good luck!
An 8 foot extension, eh? It's a wonder you didn't shear off the sensor :o)

My husband cannot seem to remove the O2 sensor from the 87 Audi 5000.
I tried an 8' extension and also liquid wrench.
Any suggestions?
