Like Huw, I use the clay compound sold as Oil Dry or similarly named
products, the cheap version of Kitty Litter. I used to sweep parking lots
(with blowers and a riding sweeper machine), and we found that applying Oil
Dry, even on dry spots, and then scrubbing them with a shoe sole often
would lift the major part of the stain right away. On my own work pad, I
put it on the greasy spots and let it stand a few days, and then the old
shoe trick lightens everything back up again.
