Type44: frozen BRAND NEW Bosch blower motor??

Anyone ever got a new blower motor and found it to be hard to turn by hand? Well, the one I just got is, and when I connect it to the car, it won't spin, although I can feel and hear the motor trying to move. You can force it to turn by hand, but my guess is that it should be very easy to turn by hand, right? It feels like the fan is on too tight, but pulling it up doesn't seem to help, and I don't want to bend or break any of the plastic stuff. Are there any pieces that need to be removed or any ideas what I might do to fix? Thanks.
