Weeping Head Gasket

Hi There

My 80 Quattro 2.6E has a weeping head gasket.

The problem appears to be quite small with very little water loss, etc. However, it does cause some starting and warming up problems, especially for the wife.

I have tried adding 'ce-lit' to the radiator. This does the trick but only for a short while. Before long the plug has loosened and the problems start again.

Is there a stronger 'gasket sealing' product available?

Does anyone know what is a reasonable cost of replacing the gasket?
