Dear fellow audi enthusiasts,
If you've seen my previous posts regarding clutch bleeding you know I have
had no luck. The job has run into school so now I can only work on the car if
I can find a ride home on the weekends. The slave bleeder had broken off 2
weeks ago. I gave up on it and bought a new slave. Following directions off
the list I bled the slave before putting it on the car. Got the slave in, and
tried to bleed by using a jar above the reservoir and pumping the clutch
pedal. Slowly lowered the clutch...opened the bleeder...got fluid...closed the
bleeder...released the clutch. This method pumped the fluid out of the slave
but no new went in. Then tried pressure bleeding...nothing. Then tried reverse
pressure bleeding using the front caliper. I'm beyond frustrated. I've looked
through the archives countless times. All I can think of now is that a feed
line is clogged or the master cylinder somehow froze up while I was trying to
bleed.Should I go ahead and order the clutch master cylinder, too? I'm going
home this weekend to try again. I'm planning on taking off the feed hose to
the slave to see if I am getting fluid from the clutch master. Any opinions
appreciated!
Thanks,
Jason
