Type-44 front bearing removal/install

I think you're right. In the Bentley, the diagram says to grease the bearing housing lightly w/ the special grease in the bearing kit, but in the procedure it has a caution which says not to grease the bearing seat. Also, the kit I got has no special grease. A little confusing to say the least. So, I'm thinking maybe the drawing is generic for 80's Audi models, but the procedure text is probably correct. Unless there is some difference between bearing housing vs. bearing seat. Anyone know what Audi meant here? Thanks.

Isn't grease a no-no in the pressed fit bearing installations?  I thought
it took up too much room in the housing and caused bearing distortion.   I
seem to remember reading about both bearing failures and bearings falling
out under stress when installed with grease in the housing.
