Yes, the KH uses the pot on the distributor. It's called the fuel econ sender as you mentioned. It only connects to the board computer box, so I'm pretty sure it will only affect the on-dash computer. It doesn't connect to the ECU harness. The engine should run w/o it, but you might get some annoying signal about the sender being disconnected. I'm sure this can be fixed by connecting a resistor between the connections though. Don't confuse this w/ the differntial pressure regulator on the CIS-E distributors from the NA cars. I would definitely recommend using a turbo fuel distributor if this is the case, b/c the system isn't designed for a turbo in mind and there are lots of differences. Good luck.
