Fuel filled cyls (Hydrolocking) - 5ktqcs

Should the injectors be pulsing when I am trying to start the car if they
are removed from the head? I currently have all of them off the engine, but
when I go to crank it, all I get is a single mist from the first two and the
last one.

Thanks

Grant

Either you have severly leaking fuel injectors or your fuel distributor is
leaking, or the air sensor plate is lifted while the engine is off.

Patient: 5ktqcs

Long time since my last post.

I was out trying to diagnose a sporadic check engine light. The ignition
seemed to shut off every time the light would flash. The engine completely
shuts off and wont restart. So I try the "wont start" test where you crank
for 5 secs and then jumper the fuel relay and count the light flashes. I
leave the ign on, waiting for the light to flash, only it doesn't. I try to
restart the car and BAM!, the eng makes a loud noise. Pull the car home
with my Samurai. 24hrs later, pull the spark plugs. Crank engine and fuel
shoots out of the cyls. Remove first two injectors, restart car. Fuel
still shoots out, but not from the injectors (just the small spritz when key
turned to ign). So I rejump the relay to see if that is what caused the
flooding -Nope.

*I need to know what caused the flooding.

*The car was sitting for about a month before this happened.

*The car has 256k miles, 2Bennett chip and other goodies.

*Any Ideas?

Thanks!
