My car earned its name by blowing these hoses
and spilling oil all over the place, leaving oil spills
like a bad puppy that is not yet house trained.

The first time it happened my mechanic said the
connections were "weeping", and he's seen them
like that last a few weeks and last for years. In
my case, it was about a month.

Since he said it is nearly impossible to remove
the hoses from the cooler without destroying
something (due to salt on the winter roads in New
Hampshire USA), he replaced the lines and cooler
with a used set. That blew out about a year later.

At this point I decided to tackle the repair myself.
I replaced the lines and cooler with off-the-shelf
items from the local generic auto parts store. Cost
me < $100US, and has held up fine since then.

Check out my effort on the Knowledgebase
