Did you put the spring in yourself?  If not, there are
instructions included with the spring describing how
to disable the cut off (? someone help me here), and
warning that, if you do, you can fry the engine if you
overrev it.

Charlie Smith should be able to fill in the specifics,
or google search the audifans archives.
