How about a POR 15 treatment?  The motorcycle crowd seems to have success
with that company's fuel tank treatment.  If the Fox tank can be replaced
relatively easily, you could pull it and give it the same sort of POR  15
application as the cycle tanks can have.  http://www.por15.com/
