You'll need to swap a lot more than just the engine and the
transmission. The fuel injection and ignition systems are
different, the subframe is different, the radiator and location is
different (and therefore the related hoses and pipes), the exhaust
downpipe is different, driveshafts are different, some differences
in wiring, the tachometer is different, etc,... and since this
is a auto-to-manual swap, you'll also need to change the pedal cluster,
shifting mechanism and linkage, console pieces, add a clutch cable,
etc. I'm sure there are lots of other little details I missed, but
just be prepared to spend a lot of time and energy doing such a swap.
It will help to have a 4-cyl car available to take parts from.
My advise is to stay with a 5-cyl engine. If you want to go to
a manual transmission, just swap to an appropriate Coupe GT 5-speed
transmission and the related parts. That alone is enough to be a
significant project.
