4000q max tire size 17''

Per,
  Your problem is your Offset.  ET 35 is not enough.  Shoot for
an ET 40 or ET 45.  That will help.
  Or keep your 17's and machine the hub down a few mm.  On my
4kq I have the old style bumers so I dont have that problem.
