Top Gear

I just finished watching, courtesy the latest in peer-to-peer
technology, two Top Gear TV episodes.
There's plenty of poking fun, color(colour?)ful metaphors, and cars
zooming around tracks. Granted it is a lot more fun to watch a
review of a TVR, than, say, the latest Chebby Silverado...but where
else will you see someone complement Vauxhaul on their smart thinking
of including a celery storage compartment on their Signum?(the Signum
sports three overhead flip-down bins, two of which are mysteriously
not the dimensions of anything, as the reviewer points out, that one
normally keeps in a car.)
Still, even given the pathetically boring cars we get here in the
states, why is it that the best we've come up with in 50+ years is
the likes of Crap&Drivel? I yawn when I watch whichever mag it is
that puts on that weekend morning show. Top Gear TV had me nearly
falling off my seat I was laughing so hard...
