Click click goes the clutch?

Hi guys,

I have this problem with my 4kq where the clutch pedal will "click" twice w=
hen you push it in.  It will do it once close to the top of the stroke and =
then again towards the bottom.  Its something you can not only hear, but fe=
el in your foot when you shift.

The previous owner put a slave in it, but i dont think a new master was ins=
talled.  Any ideas what could be going on?  New clutch master time?  I want=
 to say the clutch fully disengages, but shifting is a little notchy.  That=
 i guess could be caused by something else though.
