I went this weekend to get my new 5kcstq. The PO drove it halfway and I met
him and drove it the rest of the way. I was about 5 miles from my house
when it popped and then started to drive real rough. I immediately pulled
over and called a flatbed to get me the rest of the way home. Once there I
started to pull the plugs so that I could check the compression. This is
what I found for plug #4

Also I looked down in the cylinder and it looks like there is a hole in the
top of the plug. I have to pull the head anyway since the sparkplug hole is
fubared. So I will be able to get a better look at the piston once that
happens.

I talked to the PO and he is going to refund some of the money.

Should I attempt this myself? Or should I take it to a shop and have them do
it? Other then the obvious things that need to be replaced. Piston,
connecting rod, maybe the crank bearings and the all the lower seals while
it is apart.

Also can I use a NF head on the MC engine with no consequences? Or should I
have this one fixed, or try to source another one?

Thanks

Nate
