>So where are you measuring the voltage at?
Measuring voltage usually at the battery, ECU, rad fan, and front engine bay
battery access terminal. Also a few other places sometimes.
>Just b/c it's 13V at one point, doesn't mean it's the same everywhere...
Try measuring the voltage at the >low-voltage side of the ignition coil and
also check those connections for corrosion/loosness. I've had >problems from
these connections before. Also there are more than one ground points for the
engine. >There's also one that goes to the intake manifold and maybe a
couple more.
I have checked all of the grounds as I said last week, just about once a day
I go back over the grounds to be 100% sure. Theres one on the intake
manifold, one on the valve cover, then the main engine ground.
>You should really consider getting the 2nd Bentley since it will help w/
lots of wiring issues and will help >when you want to add or upgrade some
electtrical stuff.
Trust me, I'm guna be buying a whole new set very soon. My volume 1 is
getting pretty beat up anyway.
>Also check the connections at the battery and body (ground and positive). I
would also check for any >corrosion underneath the fuse panel area and ECU.
How bout checking the alternator grounding?
I assume the alternator grounds through the engine because there is no
ground wire on it. Its solidly bolted on.

spark-plug wires. There is a >special spark tester at many auto places that
tells you what voltage you have. This will be helpful in >monitoring your
progress through this problem. Godd luck.
Never seen one of those, I'll have to take a look when the Snap-On truck
comes on Friday if he has one. Lifetime no questions asked warrenty is a
great thing on tools. Crushed a flashlight under a lift once (and boy do I
mean crushed!) and they replaced it no questions asked desides a joking "how
the hell you do that!?".

So where are you measuring the voltage at? Just b/c it's 13V at one point,
doesn't mean it's the same everywhere... Try measuring the voltage at the
low-voltage side of the ignition coil and also check those connections for
corrosion/loosness. I've had problems from these connections before. Also
there are more than one ground points for the engine. There's also one that
goes to the intake manifold and maybe a couple more. You should really
consider getting the 2nd Bentley since it will help w/ lots of wiring issues
and will help when you want to add or upgrade some electtrical stuff. Also
check the connections at the battery and body (ground and positive). I would
also check for any corrosion underneath the fuse panel area and ECU. How
bout checking the alternator grounding? You may also want to measure the
voltage coming from the high-voltage spark-plug wires. There is a special
spark tester at many auto places that tells you what voltage you have. This
will be helpful in monitoring your progress through this problem. Godd luck.
