Type-44: Help removing heater/vent assembly?

I am trying to pull out the entire white plastic heater/vent assambly from my 5kT. I can't find anything in the archive about it, just replacing the fan w/ the assembly still on the car. I'd like to take the whole thing out now that I have the chance w/o the motor in the way, and it looks like the po's mechanic messed a few things up in there. So I tried looking into the Bentley before (it's at the machine shop now), but there's not much detail to the removal procedure. I've taken out the clamp that holds it down from the top of the assembly. I also removed the screws for the evaporator housing near the passenger footwell. What else should I take out?? Do I need to pull the entire dash?? In the Bentley they use a large tool to grab a hold of the assembly and pull it up. Is this necessary? If not, where should I be pulling from? Any gaskets I need to scrape away. I hope somebody's BTDT... Thanks.
