lost pwr, no boost, solved!

    I built an intake tract that bypassed the turbo, intercooler and
plumbing, and the car ran much better, no boost of course but as you would
expect a N/A car to be.  I could look in the turbo and see that in fact was
spinning.
    Having somewhat inspected the plumbing before, I went a step further and
pulled the intercooler.
It was definitely blocked, the sponge rubber damper or oil collector from
the vertical hose on the lower intercooler opening had got out and into the
airflow path.
    In my first post I joked that maybe a shop towel got sucked into air
cleaner, probably would have done the same thing.
