World's Fastest CGT?

Yeah, what's the point once a big Ford engine is in it? I never
understood this form of racing where they say brand X won, but it's
actually brand Y. The local 4-cylinder 1/4-mile record sits at
8.something seconds in a old Datsun pickup, but it's pushed by a Mazda
engine. The 6-cylinder record is in an E36 BMW, but it's pushed by a
Chevy engine.

Actually, I think in the USA the fastest 4-cylinder Ford Focus is a tube
frame with a carbon-fiber Focus-looking body powered along by a Pinto
engine with, as far as I recall, absolutely nothing out of a Ford Focus.
