Assuming it is similar to the other VAG sunroofs I have dealt with,
removing the sunroof is not difficult. The most difficult part is not
scratching the roof, but you can use a piece of cardboard to protect it.
Slide the sunroof all the way back.
Remove the screws that hold the air dam pull-down levers.
Flip up the air dam and remove the remaining screws that hold it in.
Remove all the other screws that around the sunroof.
Move the sunroof all the way forward.
Remove the motor or crank from below.
Raise the front of the sunroof to clear the roof from the inside.
Slide sunroof assembly forward and out of the car.
Once it is back in, calibrating the cable positions is somewhat trial and
error. If you don't move the crank motor while the roof is out it should
be close.
