I am replacing a defective ignition switch on 1990 Audi 100. The problem is getting the last detail completed before removable. Here is where I am at so far.
Air bag removed/disarmed.
Steering wheel removed.
Panel removed.
Cover under the panel removed.
The tamper-proof torx screw also removed.
Now I am getting close to remove the assembly so I can remove the switch from the back and fit the new one on.
Rather than flail around, now it time to ask where I go from here. Is there yet another screw or pin to punch out behind the tamper-proof torx screw, this was the one I had to drill out to get the torx socket into it.
Or do I tap out the ignition/lock assembly sideways?
Thanks,
Dennis
