When I was a newborn, all my parents owned as far as I know was a small 
motorcycle.  Wasn't enough to finish me off.

I suspect you would be safer in a Hummer escorted by two or three 
Blackhawks.  Or maybe not.

But seriously, get a good example, maintain it well, use good tires in 
the winter, get a good carseat and keep it in the back, and I'm sure 
you'll be fine.  Get leather seats, they're easier to clean kid-goo off of.
