You could get an auxiliary tank from a speed shop and
plumb it into the main tank.

One of the car repair shows had a segment on that.
Close the door on a dollar bill, and with the window
open, drag the dollar bill along the door seal. When
you get to a spot where there is little or no drag,
there's a leak. (They also used a big-buck smoker
that would blow smoke through the gaps.) Then they
took some sort of putty rolled into a short (2-3")
cylinder, which is then tucked into/behind the door
seal. The putty presses the seal out, helping the
seal. I'm guessing you could also use some thin
rubber tubing (windshield washer? fuel line?) to
do the same thing.

Those seals are old and might benefit from a
treatment of Armor All or other protectant.
