A careful read of the specs shows the same ponies,
albit less torque with the turbo, BUT the turbo is
availible with a 5sp, the H-6, not. Also, the 6
is pretty much an Outback (top of the Legacy
line) thing, so you don't get a sport suspension,
etc, and are carrying more weight. So, the Top
Gear review of the Legacy H-6 isn't quite the good
indication that one would think. As for reliability, 
they are probably correct, although one probably
ought to look at the reliability of the STi and whatever
that SUV thing of theirs in the XT (turbo 2.5) form for
some indication, as the engine is quite derivative of
those applications.
