Thanks for the suggestions, Y'all.

Success.  Someone suggested trying to tighten the bolt just a tad 
(technical term) and then loosening it.  Bingo!  Came right out.  The WD40 
soak may or may not have helped a little.

Now, suggestions have been made regarding the usefullness of WD40 for such 
purposes.  Well, let's just say they ain't all that purdy?  ;-)

Suggested replacements include Kroil, PB Blaster, Liquid Wrench, etc.  Any 
reasoned preferences before I run to FLAPS?
