I would think this is more likely due to the little dashpot that holds the
5ktq throttle open rather than the flywheel. Have you tried adjusting or
removing the throttle dashpot thingy? I suspect that the dashpot thingy is
there to protect the intercooler from throttle shut boost spikes since the
5kt does not have a bypass valve.
