"reward"weight

 I was reading the RS6 drivers quotes about the race at Mosport today 
and was curious about the BS "rewards weight" they get stuck with after 
placing up front.  So far they are up to about 300 lbs. Anyone know if 
there is a max limit of weight throughout the season?

Also, a quote:
Michael Galati (Olmstead, OH). "I think with the REWARDS weight and the 
fact that the track is hotter, we are experiencing a lot of understeer 
in the corners so we are a little bit slow in the corners. Other than 
that the car is running fine."

If they have weight, and are understeering, do they have a choice of 
where to place it? I know typically its at the passengers floor pan, but 
maybe they can shift it back to induce some over steer or at least make 
the car a little more neutral?
