> I have a 88 5k that seems to have clogged fuel injectors. I can't get any spray out of any
of the five injectors. The only thing spraying is the cold start valve. After removing the
injectors I found they had rust particles inside them. I guess there is no cleaning them,
right? Anyway I've found some for around $56.00 ea., would that be a good price?

If they've _ALL_ got rust particles, then there's summat wrong that's polluting them, so the
whole system needs to be thoroughly cleaned out. There's otherwise no point in fitting new
injectors - they'll just get clogged again. There's a cutaway drawing in the Probst book that
shows the bulk of each injector consisting of a conical filter. All five blocked at once?
Don't believe it - it requires a catastrophic contamination event like fitting a truly rusty
fuel distributor that's spent five years open in a junkyard.

Injectors _can_ be cleaned - ultrasonically. You need to find a good Bosch dealer.

$56 each? OUCH!!! http://www.speed-autoteile.com/ - $15 or so plus postage and packing.
