Code 2312 again

I have noticed some more bizarre behavior associated with my car throwing a
2312 code. For about a month, my car (86 5000CSQ) has occasionally lost idle
stabilization. All of the sudden I will pull up to a stop and notice that my
car is idleing a bit low. ~600rpms. Turn on the A/C, and its more like
200rpms. Needless to say, it was obvious that idle stabilization was not
working. Simply turning off and restarting the engine would bring back IS.
Over the last week I have randomly pulled the codes on my car, and the 2312
code only shows up when I am having this IS outage. It is my understanding
that the sensor that the 2312 code refers to has nothing to do with the IS
system. Correct me if I am wrong.

 

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
