I asked Randy, here's his response:



Hi, Bob!

There is a max on the rewards weight, a percentage of the car's total 
weight.  For us, 275 lb.  I have 255 currently.

We are required to put the weight in the passenger footwell.  We do 
place it as far back as possible.  The weight increase seems to 
exaggerate the car's normal behavior, and lengthen stopping distances.

While it is frustrating, the object of the weight is close racing.  It 
is important to create a good show, that is good for everyone in the 
series.  But when faster drivers are being beaten by drivers that are 
not in their league, that is probably not a good long-term strategy.

Let's blame the weight for my off at Mosport, though really it is 
squarely on my shoulders.  It ain't no ballerina any more!
