'87 4kq: steering rack, PS pump

Just wanted to weigh in here.  I have seen a number of 87 4kq's (Andrew's
included) that mandated  G 002000 mineral hydraulic oil for the PS system.
There is a sticker right on the reservoir, so that's what I tend to put in
it.  I'm not willing to chance the possibility that normal FLAPS PS fluid
wouldn't damage the seals.  As to flushing, you need to make sure to cycle
the rack side-to-side several times, and flush the reservoir repeatedly, in
order to get all the fluid clean.  This is best done with the fron wheels
off the ground.  Make sure you either clean or replace the filter
(ring-shaped) in the reservoir as well, that helps clean up the system.
