You could, but where would you get such a cluster for a car 8 years old? You can use a replacement cluster up to 98 I believe. The 99 and up are different.
At one time Audi has a recall or sorts on their clusters but I think the recall pertained to clusters with a failed Multi Function Display.
Send me your VIN, my local dealer give me cost plus 10 percent on parts, I can see what price I can get for you.
