Jeff,

Maybe you have a yellow warning light that's burnt out?  Mine only beeps
once if it wants to tell me something not particularly important (low
washer fluid, y'ain't-got-no-gas, low brake pads, head/taillight out,
etc.)

Or maybe it just wants to keep you on your toes.
