Well, a fellow CGT owner e-mailed me that the stock front springs are Stock length is 15 1/8". The Typ89 Eibachs are 11.5" but the typ89 Eibacks are stiffer so they won't compress as much as the stock ones. I wonder if it would work? Thoughts?

Subject: Stock CGT/4K spring length?

I am contemplating using a Eibach springs for the early typ89 on the front end of my CGT. Does anyone have a CGT/4000 spring off their car that they'd be willing to measure for me? I'm trying to maintain stock ride height (or a little drop is OK) but firm thigns up a bit. But I want to ensure that I don't end up RAISING the front of the car. The rear will be stock ride height (although possibly sagged a bit, the springs are original as far as I can tell). The Eibachs in question are 11.5 inches according to the fellow selling them.

Thanks,

Dave
