A6 Brakes issue?

I just learned something today.
I thought the '99 A6 avant brakes were pathetic.
Turns out today that I had to go into the spare tire well to retrieve a code 
for the brakes I ordered today. 1LB or something close.

Turns out, that this 4,000 lbs cruiser is on the smaller rotors even WITH the 
upgraded 16" wheels option.................276? vs 312x25mm

WHOA : smooth move AOA IMHO....................

There is some speculation of a similar A4 "upgrade" where TT carriers and A8 
rotors are used to increase the A4 (and hopefully the A6) braking performance.

Anyone know of such a thing?
