Although this discussion has long passed this point, thought I'd just 
throw out the part numbers for the fuel lines.

return: 893 201 547 A

A pair for a type 85 car run about $300, as I recall, I figure the type 
89 should be similar.  They are hard to put in without a lift (and 
you'll still never be able to close up the holders under the battery 
tray), but are nice new pre-bent exact replacements.
