Torque control arm bushings w/car on the ground?

I just got off the phone with Connie at Blau.  They only carry the later
model control arm bushings for the 4k/UrQ/CGT (pn 811 407 181).

I expressed concern about the failure rate of these, and she followed up
with a tech.  Two things apparently factor into their choice to carry the
later version:

1) a manufacturer that apparently produces a better version than the later
OEM bushing

2) direction to only torque the bolts once the car is back on the ground.
they indicate this is the most common reason for failure.

I've come to trust Blau a lot over the last couple years, and Connie said
they are probably going to release a bulletin about this soon.  But I am
nonetheless wondering if any of you have used the later bushings and found
this to be the cure to the bushing ills?
