Thanks Ed, Larry and Paul.  Im going to drain the existing fluid completely and replace it with MT-90 and Militec additive, and also thoroughly inspect the shifter.  I will not be surprised if the wrong fluid is currently in the trans.  Going to flush the power steering system as well.  I'll report back the results inre: my slight grinding going into 4th.

As always with a 'new' Audi, now the task is to get her 100% shipshape, but this time it's for fun ;)
