    I just remember the previous owner bought this pump last year 400$, so its new and was working very good on the ex-car 5000TQ 87.....
    So what is the problem sh...... i ll change the gaz filter this afternoon.

        yes its what i ll do, pump the 1/4 tank left with my jetta pump. I use it to pump tank when needed.

          When I replaced the fuel pump in 89 200TQ,  I removed the gas cap first.
          You would be surprised how much less you smell gas while removing the pump.

          Siphon or pump out the fuel tank so your arm doesn't have to go swimming.
          Then the only issue is breathing the fumes.
