Crush washers must be replaced EVERY time a banjo connection is
loosened on fuel system and hydraulic components. Several should
barely cost $1-2 and available from any Audi or VW dealer.

If you want to be doing your own repairs on a 10-15 year old car, you
need to have the factory repair manuals to guide you. You should
also be making heavy use of the archive search; a search for "fuel
filter leak" turned up pages of relevant posts that would have helped
you. The first result, in fact, was nearly perfect for answering
your question- "fuel filter change procedure".

I think everyone would appreciate it if your messages showed a little
more care with spell-check, by the way.
