Porche 944 question

See, now this is what I'm talking about.
I've gotten two emails saying "no way, you are bastardizing a fine
German car", I say "phhhfffftttt!"

I like the 928 for it's beautiful body and great brakes. What I don't
like is the cost of maintaining that 4-valve V8 and God-forbid you
should have to rebuild it. KA-CHING! On the other hand, an LT1 is VERY
easy to modify for great horsepower, and you could always top it off
with a Lysholm supercharger to really put the power through the roof.

Key point.....beautiful car with easy to maintain engine under the hood
that still delivers gobs of power.

AND yes the LT1 with aluminum heads and intake weighs just as much as
the Porsche V8.

I have 2 LT1 powered cars, one is an ex-patrol car the other is a 1978 Impala station wagon that we droped a LT1 in when the original motors started to get tired at 450,000 miles (she now has over 525,000 on her). The LT1 is a great engine, very powerful and extremely reliable and very low cost to maintain (and repair in the case of rare failures).

It is in good shape but the Red paint has oxidized and needs major compounding or maybe paint, but I did not see any rust and no noticaeable dings. Major mechanicals are in good condition, but need some exhaust repairs, timing belt, window switch fix, among some other minor by my standards fixes. The car ran and drove well and appears to have been well maintained.
