1987 4000S automatic transmission dipstick

Thanks, that is what I was looking for. I was guessing that the Fox
would be the same. There is a pull-it-yourself salvage yard across
town, I may make a trip out there this weekend. Where I am (Denver),
there are 4000 Quattros everywhere but 4000S are few and far between.
Foxes are slightly more common but few of them are automatics.

As a temporary fix, I can probably adapt a dipstick from another
vehicle. If anybody on the list has a 4000S handy, could you measure
the length of the dipstick for me? My kid left the dipstick in a gas
station and the car is his only transportation so I need to replace it ASAP.
Thanks,
Dave
