Fuel pressure

I am the proud owner of a 1986 4000 CSQ with almost 500k miles on it- but I
am having a difficult problem.
Went out to start it a couple of days ago and it sounded like it wasn't
getting air! FOund a mouse nest in the air cleaner- cleaned all that out-
but it still won't start!
Started through the checklist in the Bentlry manual- and the first check of
fuel pressure showed > 150 psi instead of the 60-70 psi expected. This was
the pressure directly out of the fuel pump - before the regulator.
Has anyone seen this before? Any ideas?
Thanks
Sam
