are 1.8T's JUNK????

ive heard nothing but bad things about the 1.8T..   oil sludgeing..broken 
timing belts and bent valves..bad turbo lag...

and then to find out that VW  has completely dropped the 1.8T engine from 
their lineup for the '06 models..  must be a reason.. 

so whats the final outcome?   seems like the 1.8T has waaaay more problems 
than the 2.8 V6...

feedback?

i really would like to buy a B5 but at this point i dont know..
