are 1.8T's JUNK????

 Put 40k miles on mine with a K04 no problems.  Wife's 1.8T has 40k miles on it, no problems.

Any engine can break its timing belt.  Sludge is mostly due to morons who don't change their oil...

No real appreciable turbo lag with that itsy bitsy teeny weeny turbo they used...
